Overview
We are recruiting a Temporary Receptionist on behalf of our client based in Shannon, Co. Clare. This role is ideal for an individual with strong communication skills who enjoys creating a welcoming environment. As the first point of contact, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining a professional front-of-house while supporting the daily administration of a busy office.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist all visitors, clients, and staff with professionalism.
- Answer and manage incoming telephone calls and emails.
- Ensure the reception area is clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
- Sort, distribute, and organise post and courier deliveries.
- Manage meeting room bookings and maintain scheduling calendars.
- Issue visitor passes and update the visitor sign-in log.
- Provide general administrative support: data entry, document formatting, and filing.
- Communicate with internal departments and external service providers as needed.
Requirements
Experience | Minimum 2 years’ reception or front-of-house experience. |
Attention to Detail | Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. |
Technical Skills | Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) |
Communication | Fluent English communication skills (verbal and written). |
Driving Licence | Full clean driving licence and access to own transport (essential due to location). |
Typing | Excellent organisational and typing skills. |
Presentation | Must be professionally presented – corporate attire is required. |
Eligibility | This is a temporary position. Candidates must be legally eligible to work full-time in Ireland for the full duration of the assignment. |
