Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Temporary Receptionist to join a professional organisation in Little Island, Co. Cork. This is a front desk position that requires prior receptionist experience, including confidently handling and routing incoming calls. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service focus, excellent communication skills, and be immediately available to start.
Application note: To be considered, applicants must have recent receptionist experience with direct call routing responsibilities and be fully eligible to work in Ireland.
Key Requirements

- Fluent English speaker with strong verbal and written communication skills
- 1–2 years’ experience in a receptionist role within a professional English-speaking office
- Proven experience managing front desk duties and call routing
- Professional, approachable manner and a strong work ethic
- Ability to work independently and multitask in a busy office environment
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Greeting visitors, staff, and contractors in a courteous and professional manner
- Handling and routing incoming telephone calls accurately and efficiently
- Managing meeting room bookings and coordinating hospitality needs
- Keeping the reception area clean, organised, and presentable at all times
- Assisting with general administrative tasks and supporting the workplace management team
- Monitoring visitor logs, handling incoming and outgoing post, and issuing access passes
- Supporting basic health and safety procedures such as visitor sign-in and hazard reporting
