This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Temporary Receptionist for a prestigious corporate office in Dublin 2. The role is set within a vibrant and secure city-centre location, offering a contemporary office environment. You will be the first point of contact for colleagues, contractors, and visitors, ensuring that the front-of-house operations run smoothly.


About the Job

As a Temporary Receptionist, you will be responsible for greeting visitors, managing phone lines, and supporting the office with administrative duties. This role is crucial in maintaining the welcoming and professional atmosphere of the office.


Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist office visitors courteously and professionally
  • Answer and redirect phone calls efficiently
  • Provide typing support for directors’ documents
  • Organise logistics such as taxis and couriers
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and book conference rooms
  • Assist remote staff with communication and coordination
  • Handle general office tasks such as filing, scanning, and binding documents

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 1-2 years of previous experience as a receptionist, ideally in a corporate or hospitality environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent typing skills with strong grammar
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken
  • Professional telephone manner and experience managing a switchboard
  • Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities
  • Friendly and approachable demeanour with strong communication skills

Essential Skills Needed

  1. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) proficiency
  2. PC Literacy with the ability to use standard office equipment
  3. Time Management skills to prioritise and handle multiple tasks efficiently
  4. Switchboard Management experience for handling and directing calls
  5. Typing Skills with strong attention to grammar and detail
  6. Verbal and Written Communication skills, ensuring professional interactions
  7. Customer Service experience with a friendly and approachable demeanour
