About the Role
A learning centre is seeking a Temporary Part-Time HR Administrator for a 6-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension. This role involves HR administration, compliance, recruitment support, and policy development. You will be responsible for managing employee records, overseeing Garda vetting processes, and assisting with recruitment to ensure all HR operations run smoothly and in full compliance with Irish employment legislation.
Working closely with the Head of People Operations, you will also support the development of staff policies, assist with HR projects, and help create training presentations. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and discretion, as you will be handling confidential HR data.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration & Compliance
✔️ General Administrative Duties – Draft staff letters, including salary confirmations and employment verification letters.
✔️ Employee Records Management – Maintain and update contracts, personal details, certifications, and work permits.
✔️ Garda Vetting Oversight – Ensure all staff have completed Garda vetting, maintain logs, and process vetting for new hires.
✔️ HR Compliance Reviews – Regularly review staff files to ensure all signed contracts and required documents are on record.
✔️ Policy Development Support – Assist in reviewing and creating HR policies alongside the HR Manager.
Recruitment & Training Support
✔️ Assist with Recruitment – Support the hiring process by coordinating documentation and administrative tasks.
✔️ Training Preparation – Assist with the creation of PowerPoint presentations for internal training sessions.
✔️ HR Projects & Ad Hoc Support – Provide administrative assistance for HR initiatives and ongoing projects.
What You Need to Succeed
Essential Requirements
🔹 HR Administration Experience – Previous experience in HR support, compliance, or administrative roles.
🔹 Garda Vetting Knowledge – Familiarity with Garda vetting procedures and legal requirements.
🔹 Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 – Strong skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
🔹 Attention to Detail – Accuracy in record-keeping, compliance checks, and documentation.
🔹 Discretion & Confidentiality – Ability to manage sensitive HR data with professionalism.
🔹 Excellent Communication Skills – Capable of interacting with staff, management, and external stakeholders professionally.
🔹 Organisational Skills & Initiative – Ability to manage tasks independently and proactively.
Desirable Skills
➕ Experience in an Educational or Learning Environment – Understanding of HR processes in a regulated setting.
➕ HR Qualification or Training – While not required, formal HR training would be beneficial.
