
This Temporary HR Administrator role in Galway involves providing essential administrative support to a busy HR department. This is a short-term assignment, lasting 2-3 weeks, with an immediate start required. Working full-time, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, this position offers an hourly rate of €14.87. It’s suited for individuals with administrative experience who want to gain practical HR skills or those with a foundational HR background looking for a dynamic temporary assignment. You will contribute directly to the smooth operation of daily HR functions.
Responsibilities
- Recruitment/New Joiner Support: Manage interview invites, pre-employment paperwork, medical bookings, and maintain personnel files.
- Absence & Leave: Log sickness, follow up on certificates, and assist with reports.
- General Admin: Monitor HR inbox, draft letters, prepare newsletters, raise POs, and update Org Charts.
- Communication: Help distribute HR newsletters, coordinate events, create content, and support employee engagement.
- Other: Assist with ad hoc HR projects and provide general team support.
Requirements
Experience | Proven administration experience, preferably in a busy office. |
IT Skills | Strong IT skills: MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). SharePoint ideal. |
Data Handling | Comfortable with confidential data. |
Communication | Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. |
Work Ethic | Able to work unsupervised; comfortable logging meeting actions and diary management. |
HR Systems | Experience with HRIS is essential. |
Qualification (Desirable) | A 3rd level qualification in HR/Employment Law or CIPD is a strong advantage. |
