About the Role
We are recruiting a Student Services Coordinator to provide reception, helpdesk, and administrative support within a busy secondary school environment. This permanent, part-time position works three days per week (days flexible). You will be the first point of contact for students, parents/guardians, and staff, delivering a professional and efficient service while supporting the wider administration team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reception: phone, email, and in-person queries with a professional, friendly manner.
- Liaise directly with students, parents/guardians, teachers, and administrators to resolve queries.
- Deliver timely, accurate responses and maintain accountability for customer assistance.
- Provide first-contact resolution to helpdesk incidents and requests.
- Undertake various administrative tasks including records, correspondence, and reports.
- Support the Office Manager and wider team with other tasks as assigned.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Corporate Administrative Background
- 4–5 years’ corporate administrative experience (e.g. private secretary, office administrator, or ideally school office administrator).
- Advanced IT Proficiency
- Strong skills across Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and confidence working with multiple systems, including Moodle (LMS) and Student Information Systems (SIS).
- Communication Excellence
- Exceptional command of English; able to communicate with clarity across all levels—students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and senior administration.
- Organisation & Detail
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail; able to prioritise and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional Standards
- Discreet and professional; upholds GDPR and safeguarding protocols at all times; collaborative team player.
- Right to Work
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in Ireland on a permanent basis. Visa sponsorship is not available.
- Sector Experience
- Experience in an education setting is preferred but not essential; a professional background is required.
