About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Senior School Administrator to become the key administrative support within a respected secondary school in Dublin Central. You’ll be the full-time anchor in a tight-knit administrative team and a central point of communication between students, parents, and school leadership.
This role is ideal for someone with 5+ years’ senior admin experience in an educational setting, particularly a secondary school. You’ll be responsible for maintaining daily operations, supporting the leadership team, coordinating internal and external examinations, and managing a range of key administrative functions with discretion and accuracy.

Subsidised CanteenYour Responsibilities Will Be
- Act as the first point of contact for queries from students, parents, and guardians via phone, email, and in person
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Principal, Deputy Principals, Year Heads, and teaching staff
- Maintain student records, communication logs, and attendance data
- Support coordination and supervision of in-house and external examinations
- Assist with scheduling, meeting preparation, and internal communications
- Participate in school events including open days, award ceremonies, and parent-teacher meetings
- Support international student administration and coordinate student-facing activities
- Supervise the study hall and, if needed, provide classroom cover in a non-teaching capacity during staff absence
- Carry out ad hoc administrative duties as assigned by school leadership
Essential Requirements
Experience | Minimum 5 years in a senior admin role, ideally within a secondary school or education environment |
Communication | Fluent verbal and written English. Able to communicate clearly and professionally with students, parents, and senior staff |
Organisation | Strong multitasking ability with exceptional attention to detail and time management |
Professionalism | Discreet, reliable, and able to manage sensitive information with care |
Qualifications | Leaving Certificate essential. Relevant administrative or education qualifications preferred |
Work Authorisation | Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in Ireland on a full-time, unrestricted basis. This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. |
