Job Overview
We are seeking two Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to join a dedicated team supporting the operations of two prestigious commercial buildings in Dublin 2. These properties provide state-of-the-art office space and are easily accessible by public transport. In this role, you will ensure optimal performance of mechanical systems, conducting both preventative and reactive maintenance with a focus on safety and efficiency. Minimal travel between the two buildings ensures stability and a healthy work-life balance.
Ideal candidates will possess a trade qualification in HVAC or Plumbing, along with a proactive approach to maintenance. Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform planned preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and services.
- Conduct reactive repairs to minimise equipment downtime.
- Complete Method Statements and Risk Assessments for all tasks.
- Liaise with the helpdesk and team to schedule and prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues promptly, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Prepare reports, quotations, and recommendations post-maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with clients, technicians, and management to ensure smooth operations.
- Participate in audits for quality, environmental, and health & safety compliance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Trade Qualification in HVAC or Plumbing: Proven expertise in mechanical systems.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in maintenance, including fault finding and preventative maintenance.
- Health and Safety Training: Awareness and adherence to H&S standards.
- Communication Skills: Clear and professional interaction with clients and team members.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Quickly identify and resolve mechanical issues.
- Flexibility: Occasional availability outside standard hours, if required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office is an advantage.
