Marketing and Events Manager
📍 Remote | 🕒 22.5 Hours/Week (x3 Days a week) | 💼 Fixed Term – 6 Months
💰 €27.50 – €30.00 Per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Marketing and Events Manager to coordinate a high-profile industry event taking place in October 2025 and manage related digital communications. This is a 6-month, fixed-term contract with an environmental and ecological organisation based in Galway.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring the successful planning, promotion, delivery, and follow-up of the event while supporting broader communications activities across the organisation’s online platforms and networks.
This is a remote working position, however you will be required to travel to meetings on site in Galway. As a result applicants must possess a full-clean drivers licence and their own personal transport as well as a home office setup to all for you to work from home and travel as required.
Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination
- Plan and deliver the organisation’s major stakeholder event in October 2025, including:
- Booking venue and arranging event logistics
- Managing registration and attendee communications
- Coordinating suppliers, guest speakers, and materials
- Attending and supporting the event onsite
- Drafting and issuing event agendas and briefing documents
- Organise and participate in fortnightly planning meetings with key internal stakeholders.
Digital Communications
- Draft and publish engaging updates across the organisation’s professional social media platforms (primarily LinkedIn).
- Prepare and circulate regular e-newsletters and bulletins.
- Manage a shared email inbox, responding to queries and directing communications as appropriate.
- Maintain and update an online directory of partner organisations.
Post-Event and Reporting
- Compile attendee feedback and post-event insights.
- Produce follow-up communications and summary reports.
- Ensure timely delivery of acknowledgements, reports, and digital content post-event.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 5 + years’ experience in event coordination, marketing, or communications, within a leadership role.
- Third level qualification in Marketing, Event Management or PR.
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills.
- Experience using content scheduling tools and email marketing platforms.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Desirable Skills
- Previous work with public sector, not-for-profit, or mission-led organisations.
- Previous PR experience.
- Familiarity with stakeholder engagement or community outreach.
- Design and digital content skills (e.g., Canva, Mailchimp, LinkedIn publishing tools).

- Location: Remote, 1 Day a month on-site (Travel expenses covered)

- Hourly Rate: €27.50 – €30.00 per hour
