As a Clean Room Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will perform preventative and reactive maintenance on vital equipment such as UPS, PDU, HVAC, Low Voltage (LV), and High Voltage (HV) systems. You’ll collaborate with subcontractors, monitor building management systems (BMS), and maintain compliance with stringent industry standards. What You’ll Do

  • Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on systems, including UPS, PDU, HVAC, LV, and HV equipment.
  • React promptly to Building Management System (BMS) alarms and carry out emergency repairs.
  • Complete facility walkthroughs, including meter readings and monitoring of utilities.
  • Work with subcontractors to ensure they adhere to processes, procedures, and regulations.
  • Identify and resolve plant faults and defects, in this zero downtime environment.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant standards such as ISO/IEC 22237, ISO 50001, and ISO 14001.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records through BMS, and ensure high standards of quality and safety are maintained.
  • Contribute to the site’s overall operational success by solving problems efficiently and supporting your team.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Electrical Qualification: Minimum QQI Level 6 in an Electrical Trade or equivalent.
  • Critical Environment Experience: At least 3–4 years in cleanrooms, pharmaceuticals, or data centres.
  • Systems Expertise: Hands-on experience with:
    • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies)
    • PDU (Power Distribution Units)
    • HVAC systems
    • Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) systems
  • Certifications: HV Authorised Certification or equivalent (e.g., CDCTP, CDCP) is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Standards: Familiarity with ISO/IEC 22237, ISO 50001, and ISO 14001.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and standard office tools like Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to address issues quickly and effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • Communication Skills: Able to clearly convey information and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
