Job Overview
We are seeking an Equipment Repair Technician to join a dynamic on-site facilities maintenance team at a high-performance data centre. This role focuses on the repair and maintenance of essential equipment, ensuring smooth operations in a critical environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Equipment Repairs: Conduct repairs on HVAC systems, UPS, and other mechanical or electrical equipment essential to facility operations.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance to prevent equipment failures and ensure peak efficiency.
- Cabling and Racking: Install and manage fibre and copper cabling, as well as rack and stack hardware for operational deployment.
- Deployment Support: Unbox, arrange, and prepare new equipment for deployment, managing associated waste disposal.
- Workspace Organisation: Maintain clean and efficient workspaces, ensuring tools and components are stored properly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
Requirements
Trade Qualifications
Candidates must have one of the following qualifications or their equivalent:
- Electrical Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology: Comprehensive training in electrical system installation and maintenance.
- City & Guilds Electrical Installation: Internationally recognised foundational skills in electrical work.
- Mechanical Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade: Preparation for mechanical repair and engineering roles.
- HVAC Technician Certification: Specialised training for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Note: Qualifications obtained outside of Ireland must be recognised by the Commission for Regulation of Utilities (CRU) and the Safe Electric Scheme.
Additional Requirements
- Certifications: Completion of a Manual Handling course and possession of a Safe Pass.
- Technical Expertise: Proven experience in repairing equipment such as HVAC systems and UPS.
- Physical Stamina: Capability to handle tasks requiring physical exertion, including lifting loads up to 50 lbs.
- Organisational Skills: Strong ability to manage inventories and maintain a structured workspace.
