Enrolment Communications Officer
📍 Dublin | 💶 €35,000 | 🕐 Full-time
We are seeking a skilled Enrolment Communications Officer to join a respected private school in Dublin. This full-time, permanent role requires a confident communicator with a calm, empathetic manner, excellent administrative skills, and the ability to manage challenging conversations with care and professionalism.
This is a people-first role, ideal for someone with a background in complaints handling or client services — particularly from professional industries such as banking credit unions, aviation or legal. — where diplomacy, discretion, and strong communication are essential.
About the Role
You will join a small, dedicated enrolment team and work closely with the Enrolment Manager to handle one of the most sensitive areas of school operations.
While you will not be involved in the decision-making process around applications, you will be responsible for delivering news to parents and supporting them through follow-up questions. You must be able to manage these conversations with confidence, warmth, and professionalism.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need to quickly build strong internal knowledge of the school’s ethos, enrolment criteria, and procedures, so that you can respond effectively without escalating every query. This position would suit someone mature, articulate, and well-organised — perhaps a parent returning to the workforce with experience in high-pressure client or customer environments from industries such as banking credit unions, aviation or legal.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clear and empathetic communication to parents regarding enrolment outcomes
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and written correspondence with care and professionalism
- Liaise with the Enrolment Manager to gather necessary case-by-case information
- Maintain accurate records of all applicant interactions and queries
- Assist with coordination of open days and parent information events
- Softly promote the school’s values and ethos in all parent interactions
Who We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in a professional, English-speaking, customer-facing role — ideally involving complaint handling or sensitive issue resolution (e.g. banking credit unions, aviation or legal.)
- Experience managing difficult or emotional conversations with empathy and discretion
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and follow-up
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce an advantage
- Personable, diplomatic, and confident in managing phone-based communication
- Quick to learn new systems and procedures, and comfortable asking questions to clarify details
What’s on Offer
- €35,000 salary
- Full-time, permanent role
- Supportive team environment
- Pension scheme, onsite gym, EAP, death-in-service cover, subsidised canteen
