About the Job

As an Electrical Maintenance Field Technician, you will be responsible for delivering electrical maintenance services across multiple industrial and office sites in Athlone, Citywest, Dublin, and Cork. Your primary duties will include preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently and comply with safety regulations and service level agreements (SLAs). This role requires a self-motivated, customer-focused individual with experience in both low and high voltage systems, ideally within industrial environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks on electrical systems across multiple sites, ensuring all systems are fully operational and adhere to safety standards.
  • Corrective Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults promptly to minimise downtime across both industrial and office environments.
  • System Operation: Oversee the performance of electrical and control systems, ensuring their optimal operation and compliance with company standards.
  • Project Management: Manage small to medium electrical projects, including planning, procurement of materials, and overseeing the commissioning process.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, paying close attention to safe work systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed, utilising both paper-based and computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Team Collaboration: Work independently and as part of a team, liaising with contractors and colleagues across multiple sites.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, proactively communicating with clients to build strong working relationships and ensure a high standard of service.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience working with both low and high voltage systems, with previous experience on industrial sites essential.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and the operation of CMMS. Experience with mechanical systems and controls is an advantage.
  • Qualifications: Electrical trade qualification and a full, clean driving licence. MEWP or forklift licence is beneficial.
  • Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong organisational skills, and a proactive, customer-focused approach.
  • Personality: A positive, self-motivated individual who can work both independently and within a team.
  • Safety Focus: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, with an excellent understanding of safety procedures.
