OUTLINE:
If you are an experienced maintenance technician looking to work within the Environmental Health and Safety division of a global facilities company and you can offer the following experience this could certainly be the opportunity you have been waiting for.
The successful applicant will manage and coordinate the activities required to ensure compliance with permitting any high-risk work systems within the site.
You will be an active member of the Site EHS team providing support, guidane and expertise.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
-Site Complience-
- Required to comply with the sites global policies, procedures, guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current good manufacturing practice in the performance of day-to-day activities and all applicable job functions.
- Complete site training and keep up to date with the latest operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively to drive a safe and compliant culture.
- Site permit and LOTO coordination
-Safety / EHS Responsibility-
- Promote a culture of EHS excellence at facility and provide high-quality safety, health and welfare technical leadership to assigned operations.
- Support the permit to work system onsite – perform system audits to ensure compliance with site safety and GMP requirements.
- Liaise with EHS department to ensure permitting strategies are fully aligned with MSD Global EHS policies and local procedures for the site.
- Provide technical guidance and sitewide program support
- Participate in the Safe by Choice program
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Health & Saftey/ EHS Qualification
- Maintenance technician with electrical or mechanical background
- Completed apprenticeship with 2 years work experience
- 2 years or more pharmaceutical or other highly regulated industry experience advantageous
- Technically strong; understanding and implementation of regulatory requirements, and company operating procedures/standards
- “Safety First” and compliance mindset
- Team player capable of engaging with Senior Leadership and regulatory bodies
- Self-directed, detail oriented and strong drive for results
