Job Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Campus Facilities Manager to oversee our client’s multi-building property in Clare. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate with two on-site Building Managers and a Community Manager to ensure smooth and efficient operations across three buildings, supporting both tenants and the client’s objectives.

Key Responsibilities

As Campus Facilities Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Campus & Facilities Management
  • Budget & Expense Management: Oversee the campus facilities budget, coordinating planned and reactive maintenance works, reviewing expenditures, and ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Contractor Coordination: Engage and assess contractors for services, managing contracts, approving invoices, and tracking contractor performance.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and insurance requirements, acting as the primary liaison with insurance brokers.
  • Environmental Management: Implement and monitor Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, ensuring accurate data reporting and sustainable practices.
  • Tenant Relations: Serve as the main point of contact for tenants on operational matters, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining positive tenant relationships.
Team Supervision & Building Oversight
  • Staff Coordination & Training: Conduct weekly meetings with on-site staff, provide training to Building Managers on processes, and report regularly on team progress.
  • Maintenance Management: Support the on-site team with preventive maintenance programmes, maintaining asset registers, and ensuring effective upkeep of facilities.
  • Comprehensive Reporting: Collaborate with the team to prepare detailed reports on property conditions and facility improvements for client and senior management review.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

  • Property or Facilities Management Qualification: A foundation in property or facilities management is essential.
  • Technical Facilities Management Knowledge: At least 3 years of experience in facilities or property management, ideally within a commercial setting.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to build and maintain positive tenant and contractor relationships and coordinate effectively with the on-site team.
  • Organisational & IT Proficiency: Experience with property management systems, such as Yardi, and a capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: A proactive approach, with a focus on continuous improvement, collaboration, and achieving results.
