The accounts payable assistant will play a crucial role as part of the accounting team for this cutting-edge company headquartered in Dublin. As the company expands into the global market, the role of accounts payable assistant will provide scope to allow the successful candidate to adapt to the development of the business as it expands. As part of your duties, you will report to the accountant and liaise with both the internal and external stakeholder ensuring suppliers are paid and revenue is disbursed amongst their consumers.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Gather and review invoices for payment
  • Issue revenue and balance statements to customers
  • Prepare payments to suppliers for review
  • Processing invoices
  • Posting transactions on the accounting system
  • Support other accounting process as required
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Monitor supplier and customer accounts
  • Provide payment information to support the cash flow forecast process
  • Other ad-hoc duties as they arise.

Essential Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • 2-3 Years previous experience as an accounts payable assistant (minimum)
  • Third level qualification would be advantageous
  • Experience using MS Office
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Can demonstrate an ability to handle and protect confidential information.
