Compliance and Data Analytics Specialist

Company Overview:

Our client is a leading organisation within the environmental sector, focused on sustainability and waste management. They are seeking a skilled Compliance and Data Analytics Specialist to join their team in Clondalkin, Dublin 22. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with industry regulations and leveraging data analytics to support the organisation’s strategic goals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, with a mix of office-based and remote work.

About the Job:

As a Compliance and Data Analytics Specialist, you will play a key role in managing compliance enforcement and supporting data-driven decision-making within the organisation. Reporting to the Head of Membership & Recruitment, your responsibilities will include overseeing compliance processes, liaising with enforcement authorities, and utilising data analytics to drive membership growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Compliance and Enforcement:

  • Lead interactions with enforcement authorities to increase membership and ensure compliance.
  • Implement and manage the organisation’s Enforcement Policy, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and enforce procedural controls to support the compliance framework and boost membership numbers.

Data Analytics:

  • Support the Data Analyst Executive by analysing and interpreting compliance and membership data.
  • Maintain and manage the enforcement database within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly and quarterly reports on enforcement activities to support strategic decisions.

Membership and Recruitment:

  • Work closely with the Membership and Recruitment teams to resolve enforcement-related issues and drive membership growth.
  • Assist in identifying potential major producers for membership through data analysis and targeted strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Develop and maintain communication protocols with local authorities and enforcement agencies to support compliance efforts.
  • Provide training and annual updates to enforcement officers on the organisation’s compliance procedures.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experience and Education:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a data analysis or compliance role, ideally within a regulatory or environmental context.
  • Degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Data Analytics, Environmental Science, or Compliance.

Skills:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics, Office, and Power Apps.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Self-motivated with the resilience to work independently and adapt to changing demands.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with local authorities or within the waste management/recycling industry.
  • Knowledge of packaging regulations and relevant environmental legislation.
