About the Role

This is a key leadership role responsible for managing technical services and contractor activities within a fast-paced facility management environment. The Technical Lead will oversee the execution of mechanical and electrical services, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations while maintaining the highest standards of operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with proven experience in contractor coordination. This role requires excellent leadership, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement in service delivery.


Key Highlights

  • Technical Oversight: Manage and provide expert guidance on mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, fire detection, BMS, power systems, access control, and calibrations.
  • Contractor Management: Supervise on-site and off-site contractor personnel, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and work permits.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all risk assessments, method statements, and safety documentation are in place before work commencement.
  • Operational Efficiency: Implement and manage best-practice maintenance and service strategies, ensuring business continuity while delivering cost savings.
  • Quality & Compliance: Maintain adherence to GMP, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring all site documentation is up to date.
  • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Act as a key point of contact between contractors, staff, and senior management, preparing reports on service levels, SLAs, and KPIs.
  • Financial Management: Support budgeting, procurement, billing, and cost-saving initiatives within the contract.

Requirements:

Essential Requirements

  • ✅ Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering – Strong foundation in engineering principles and technical oversight.
  • ✅ Trade Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical – Hands-on expertise in technical systems.
  • ✅ 3–5 years’ experience in Technical Services or Contractor Coordination – Proven ability to manage technical operations in a regulated environment.
  • ✅ Experience with SAP, Maximo, or similar CMMS systems – Ability to manage maintenance planning and asset tracking.
  • ✅ Strong leadership and teamwork skills – Capable of developing and managing high-performing teams.
  • ✅ Health & Safety Knowledge – Familiarity with risk assessments, method statements, and regulatory compliance.
  • ✅ Excellent communication skills – Ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.

Desirable Skills

  • ➕ Experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry – Understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements.
  • ➕ Project Management Experience – Ability to oversee technical projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
  • ➕ Cost Management & Budgeting – Ability to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
