Duties & Responsibilities
As an Assistant Property Manager, your main responsibilities will include:
- Facilities and Maintenance Management:
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance, planned preventative maintenance programmes, and asset registers.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and insurance requirements.
- Manage environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives and upload relevant data to ESG platforms.
- Financial Oversight:
- Manage budgets, process purchase orders, and approve invoices through the Yardi Property Management System.
- Assist senior team members with annual budget preparation and quarterly expenditure reviews.
- Team Management & Communication:
- Liaise with tenants regarding operational matters.
- Coordinate with contractors for tendering and service contract negotiations.
- Document property inspections and report to senior team members and clients.
- Administrative Duties:
- Prepare reports on property conditions and manage queries with insurance brokers.
- Conduct regular site visits and maintain inspection records.
Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Property or Facilities Management qualification – essential for success in this role.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a commercial property management environment.
- Technical knowledge or facilities management experience – a solid understanding of building operations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills – ability to work well with tenants, clients, and contractors.
- Strong IT and organisational skills – experience with property management software is advantageous.
- Proactive and deadline-driven – capable of managing multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision.
