Job Overview

We are seeking adaptable and customer-oriented Temporary Receptionists to provide front-of-house coverage at a leading property management company in Galway. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to gain experience in a corporate environment or those between roles who wish to maintain their skills while working on a flexible, ad hoc basis. Positions are available as temporary cover for employee absences due to holidays and sickness. Key Responsibilities

As a Temporary Receptionist, you will represent our client with professionalism and warmth. Key duties include:

  • Greeting Visitors: Welcome guests, clients, and staff, ensuring they feel comfortable and directing them to the appropriate contacts.
  • Managing Phone Calls: Answer and direct incoming calls with professionalism, handle general inquiries, and route calls to appropriate departments.
  • Handling Correspondence: Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries, maintaining organization and confidentiality.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with basic administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and scheduling as needed by the office team.
  • Maintaining the Reception Area: Keep the front desk and reception area tidy and presentable to provide a positive first impression for all visitors.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should have:

  • Reception or Customer Service Experience: At least 2 years prior experience in a front-desk or customer service role, ideally within a corporate or office environment.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • IT Proficiency: Comfortable using standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and phone systems.
  • Reliability and Flexibility: Available for short-term assignments at short notice and able to adapt to varying office environments.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and maintain a well-organized reception area.
