Job Overview:
The job of a Compliance Data Analyst is primarily focused on ensuring that companies comply with waste management regulations as part of the organisation’s enforcement efforts.
Main Tasks:
- Collaboration: Work closely with regional waste enforcement authorities and local government officers to enhance compliance among businesses.
- Support: Assist the data analysis department and help resolve any ongoing compliance issues.
- Manage Reporting: Oversee a shared portal for reporting and tracking enforcement activities.
- Enforcement Policy: Implement and manage the organisation’s enforcement policy to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Compliance Monitoring: Track compliance metrics and report on progress to ensure companies meet regulatory standards.
- Communication: Regularly update and educate local authorities on enforcement policies and share relevant information with them.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve communication with regional waste enforcement authorities.
- Keep the enforcement database accurate and up-to-date.
- Conduct annual training sessions for local authorities on enforcement procedures.
- Identify and follow up with companies that are not yet compliant with membership requirements.
- Provide monthly and quarterly reports on enforcement activities.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Data Analyst role: This indicates the need for a solid background in analysing and interpreting data, which is crucial for managing the enforcement database and generating reports.
- Excellent Customer Service & Communication skills: The role involves liaising with various authorities and stakeholders, making strong communication skills essential.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills: The job requires the ability to work with data, analyse trends, and report on enforcement activities, so proficiency in these areas is critical.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics, Office, and Power Apps: Familiarity with these tools is necessary for managing data, reporting, and performing daily tasks effectively.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working with local authorities.
- Knowledge of packaging regulations and related laws.
- A degree or diploma in a relevant field.
