FM Technician (Electrician)

About the Job

As an FM Technician (Electrician), you will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance services across multiple sites in Dublin, Cork, and Cavan. Your duties will include preventative and corrective maintenance, ensuring that all work complies with relevant safety standards and service level agreements. This role requires a proactive, customer-focused individual with experience in both low and high voltage systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance on electrical systems across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and service level agreements.
  • Corrective Maintenance: Respond to and resolve electrical issues across the designated sites, including both industrial and office environments.
  • System Operation: Oversee the effective operation of electrical and control systems, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Project Management: Manage small to medium electrical projects from planning through to commissioning, including procurement of materials and documentation.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to health, safety, and environmental regulations, with particular attention to safe systems of work.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work performed using both paper-based and CMMS systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Work both independently and as part of a team, supervising contractors as necessary and providing support across multiple locations.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, building strong relationships through proactive communication and a commitment to quality.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Technical Qualifications: Electrical trade Qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience, including work with both low and medium voltage systems. Experience in high voltage systems is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Strong technical expertise in electrical systems, with experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, and using CMMS. Additional experience in mechanical systems and controls is an advantage.
  • Licenses: Full clean driving licence; MEWP or forklift licence is beneficial.
  • Personality: A positive, proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Strong ability to build and maintain customer relationships, delivering high-quality service at all times.
  • Safety Focused: Excellent understanding of safety procedures and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
