Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on critical building infrastructure and plant equipment.
- Respond to emergency site engineering issues to keep operations running smoothly.
- Monitor and manage subcontractors working on-site, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Assist in small installation projects and repairs to building fabric and systems.
- Conduct regular inspections and report any potential issues to engineering teams.
- Ensure all work is carried out safely, following Permit to Work systems, risk assessments, and industry best practices.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs.
- Work as part of a team to ensure high service levels and smooth operation of the facility.
What You Need to Succeed
Essential Requirements
✔ Recently Qualified or Experienced Tradesperson: Background in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, or general building maintenance.
✔ Electrical Certification – (Fetac/QQI Level 6, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
✔ Hands-on Maintenance Skills: Comfortable working with mechanical and electrical systems.
✔ Commitment to Safety: Awareness of health & safety procedures and willingness to follow protocols.
✔ Team Player Mentality: Ability to collaborate with colleagues and external contractors.
✔ Physical Readiness: Able to lift up to 20kg, work at heights, and navigate confined spaces if needed.
✔ Flexibility: Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
Desirable Skills
➕ Knowledge of Data Centre Operations – previous experience is a bonus, but full training is provided.
➕ Technical Problem-Solving Ability – ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical/electrical faults.
➕ Computer Literacy – comfortable using Excel, Word, and Outlook for reporting and logging tasks.
