About the Job
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a 29,000-square-foot commercial building located in the heart of Dublin. This role involves overseeing operations, maintenance, health and safety protocols, and tenant relations to ensure the smooth running of the property. You will also work closely with senior team members to manage budgets, handle service contracts, and maintain high standards of property upkeep.
Key Responsibilities
- Property Management: Manage the building to an agreed budget, ensuring all operations run efficiently.
- Contractor Oversight: Engage and oversee contractors for both planned and reactive maintenance works, ensuring quality and timely service delivery.
- Tenant Relations: Liaise regularly with tenants to address operational concerns and maintain strong working relationships.
- Budgeting & Reporting: Collaborate with senior management to prepare annual budgets, review expenditures, and report on the building’s condition.
- Health and Safety: Implement and manage health and safety procedures in line with regulations, including liaising with insurance brokers.
- Preventative Maintenance: Manage preventative maintenance schedules and asset registers to ensure the longevity and reliability of the property’s infrastructure.
- Visitor and Security Management: Ensure building security, manage access control for visitors and contractors, and maintain the reception area.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Support and manage Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives within the property.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in property or facilities management within a commercial environment.
- A qualification in property or facilities management is essential.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing tenant relations.
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in budget management and contractor oversight.
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g. Yardi) is a plus.
- Self-motivated, with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
