Customer Support Coordinator

Contract: Permanent
Position: Full-Time
Hours Per Week: 37.5 Hours Per Week
Work Environment: Professional Office Based

About the Job:

We are seeking a Customer Support Coordinator to manage customer interactions and administrative duties for our client’s operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling both phone and online queries, coordinating service requests, and ensuring that data is accurately maintained. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to customer service. You will play an essential role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and supporting customers throughout Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer queries via phone and email, delivering timely and professional responses
  • Coordinate service requests and follow-ups with internal departments and external vendors
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in the internal systems
  • Process customer orders and manage the dispatch of documents and other necessary materials
  • Assist with resolving customer issues and complaints, ensuring satisfactory outcomes
  • Manage pre-authorisation of invoices and general administration
  • Liaise with various internal departments to ensure seamless customer service delivery

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Possesses a full, clean driving licence
  • A minimum of 1 year of professional experience handling phone-based customer support
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English, with strong communication abilities
  • Proficient in PC use, including Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service or sales, preferably in a corporate environment
  • Knowledge of an additional language is a plus but not required
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Experience with ECDL/ICDL or equivalent certification
  • Familiarity with Kerridge software is advantageous but not essential
  • 2-3 years of overall work experience in relevant roles
  • Proven ability to thrive in a team-based environment

Essential Skills Needed:

  1. Professional experience managing telephone-based customer support
  2. Fluent written and verbal communication in English
  3. Proficiency with PC tools and software (Microsoft Office, email systems, etc.)
  4. Experience in customer service or sales, preferably 2+ years
  5. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  6. Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric approach
  7. Capacity to work independently and collaborate within a team
