OUTLINE:
We are looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Technician who has proven experience in carrying out corrective and preventive continuity within a production environment.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:
- Effective repair of equipment and electrical systems.
- Preventive maintenance on all mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Experience with conveyors, depositors, wrapping machines, weighing machines.
- Utilise data reports on equipment and systems to generate improvement initiatives.
- Support production at all times by ensuring minimum response times to equipment breakdowns and achievement of equipment availability.
- Identify and report operational and maintenance problems to prevent production delays.
- Work with other staff in diagnosing causes of system, equipment or material failures.
- Liaise with the Operations team in the planning of maintenance work.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- A thorough knowledge of the theories and principles of engineering for both electrical and mechanical maintenance across all disciplines following completion of an Electrical/ Mechanical apprenticeship or a two – three year college program in engineering technology (i.e. mechanical, electrical, etc.).
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work on own initiative, proactive and ambition to continuously improve
- Experience of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) an advantage.
