Commercial BID Specialist

Our client, a leader in the commercial services industry with over 1,000 employees and 500 active contracts, is seeking a highly organised and client-focused Commercial Bid Specialist. As part of a well-established Commercial Management team, you will play a crucial role in managing the tender process and maintaining strong client relationships.

About the Job

The Commercial Bid Specialist will oversee the entire tender management process, with a key focus on ensuring smooth communication with clients and delivering customer-centric bids. This role involves collaboration across departments and client site visits, ensuring each tender reflects the company’s high standards and services. The successful candidate must balance project management skills with a strong focus on client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the tender process from initiation to submission, ensuring bids are competitive and of the highest quality.
  • Maintain strong client relationships throughout the tender process, ensuring customer satisfaction and clear communication.
  • Work closely with the conversion team to strategize and secure new contracts.
  • Coordinate and attend client site visits, representing the company alongside the Commercial Manager.
  • Collaborate with all departments to gather accurate information and organise bid documentation.
  • Present major bids to clients, demonstrating the company’s service offerings and customer-focused solutions.
  • Maintain excellent organisational skills, managing multiple documents and tight deadlines across various projects.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • At least 2 years of bid management experience, ideally within the commercial cleaning or facilities management industry.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with a customer-centric approach to every project.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple documents and projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all bid submissions.
  • Experience with tender management and a successful track record of winning bids in a competitive environment.
  • Familiarity with the competitive landscape, especially with companies like Apleona, Bidvest Noonan, Aramark, or Derrycourt, is an advantage.
