The Accelerated Road Map – Five phases reduced to Four!
PHASE 2 PLUS
June 8th 2020 brings very welcome developments for all of us – children can play with their friends in local playgrounds, teens can meet up with some of their friends, or even join an outdoors summer camp, shoppers can finally shop – and businesses can look at the future with signs of relief that all the hard work is paying off.
What do we all need to know, to make sure that essential guidelines are followed, keeping us all safe as we become more accustomed to leaving the dark days of lockdown? For the full picture check out Gov.ie, but here are a few of the most relevant points:
Leisure Travel – we can travel freely within our own counties and up to 20km when crossing county boundaries.
Work travel – public transport should be still used as little as possible, and numbers that get on the bus, for example, are still strictly limited. Don’t stand in the queue if you can hop on a bike or jog into work.
Indoors – We can visit family and friends in their own homes six at a time, keeping social distancing a priority.
Outdoors – We can gather together in a group of up to 15 of family, friends, neighbours to take a walk, chat about the weather, the usual good stuff
8th June Shopping – support your local shops as they reopen with safety at the forefront of their interactions with the public.
15th June Shopping – yes, the shopping centres are open!
And last but not least – if you can work from home, stay working at home!
