Are you an experienced Technical Facilities Manager looking for the opportunity to lead engineering services within a highly regulated environment where safety, compliance and operational excellence are critical?
This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading Facilities Management provider supporting a technically demanding client environment in Dublin 15. Reporting directly to the Account Director, you’ll take ownership of the delivery of Hard Services across the site, ensuring building systems operate safely, efficiently and in full compliance with statutory requirements.
This is more than a maintenance management role.
You’ll lead engineering teams, manage specialist contractors, oversee planned and reactive maintenance, control maintenance budgets and ensure critical building assets continue to support business operations without interruption. Success in this position requires a balance of technical expertise, operational leadership and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities
Summary
As Technical Facilities Manager, you will:
- Lead the delivery of Hard Services across the site
- Manage engineering teams, contractors and specialist service providers
- Oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance programmes
- Ensure statutory compliance and Health & Safety standards are maintained
- Monitor contractor performance against KPIs and SLAs
- Manage maintenance budgets and operational expenditure
- Lead incident response during critical equipment failures
- Drive continuous improvement, sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives
Technical Service Delivery
You’ll be responsible for the overall management of Hard Services, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire safety systems, lifts and building infrastructure are maintained to the highest operational standards.
Working closely with engineers, contractors and operational stakeholders, you’ll oversee Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmes and reactive maintenance activities, ensuring critical assets remain reliable, compliant and capable of supporting day-to-day business operations.
A strong technical understanding of building services is essential because you’ll be responsible for making informed decisions regarding maintenance priorities, engineering solutions and long-term asset performance.
Team Leadership & Contractor Management
Success in this role relies upon effective leadership.
You’ll manage in-house engineering teams alongside specialist contractors, ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with agreed service standards.
You’ll allocate work, monitor performance, provide technical support where required and ensure contractors maintain all necessary certifications, insurance documentation and statutory compliance.
Building positive relationships while maintaining high performance expectations will be key to delivering consistent service quality across the site.
Compliance & Risk Management
Maintaining a safe and compliant working environment is one of the most important aspects of this position.
You’ll ensure all maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety legislation, statutory inspection requirements and internal governance procedures.
Responsibilities include supporting audits, conducting risk assessments, maintaining compliance documentation and ensuring maintenance records remain accurate and up to date.
You’ll also lead the response to critical equipment failures or emergency situations, ensuring risks are managed effectively while minimising operational disruption.
Commercial & Operational Management
As Technical Facilities Manager, you’ll also oversee the commercial performance of the Hard Services function.
You’ll manage maintenance budgets, review contractor quotations, monitor operational expenditure and ensure services continue to provide value while maintaining the highest engineering standards.
Working with service providers and internal stakeholders, you’ll monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen operational performance.
Sustainability & Continuous Improvement
Beyond maintaining existing standards, you’ll play an active role in improving them.
You’ll support sustainability initiatives, energy management programmes and continuous improvement projects designed to enhance building performance, reduce energy consumption and improve the long-term efficiency of engineering services across the site.

Summary
The successful candidate will possess:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working within a regulated Facilities Management environment
- Previous leadership experience managing engineering or maintenance teams
- Strong knowledge of Hard Services and technical building systems
- Experience managing contractors, SLAs and KPIs
- Strong client relationship management experience
- Experience managing maintenance budgets and operational expenditure
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
Experience
Applicants should demonstrate a proven track record managing technical facilities services within regulated environments where compliance, reliability and operational performance are essential.
Experience leading engineering teams, managing specialist contractors and delivering both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance programmes is essential.
You’ll also be comfortable balancing technical leadership with operational decision-making while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Technical Knowledge
Applicants should possess a strong understanding of:
