About the Job
A highly skilled Electrical Engineer is required for a corporate facilities environment, focusing on advanced diagnostics and preventative maintenance. This role requires specialist expertise in thermal imaging, ultrasonic testing, and vibration analysis to ensure the smooth operation of critical infrastructure. You will oversee electrical maintenance across HVAC, boilers, compressed air, water treatment, CRAC units, pumps, and other key systems.
This position suits an experienced electrician who thrives in problem-solving, compliance-driven environments. The ideal candidate will be flexible, comfortable working in a corporate setting, and eager to take on new challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thermal imaging & advanced diagnostics – Identify potential failures before they escalate.
- Perform fault-finding & electrical repairs – Troubleshoot boilers, pumps, motors, and control systems.
- Manage CMMS (SAP) work orders – Accurately log and track maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP & safety standards – Adhere to LOTO, risk assessments, and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with clients & project teams – Communicate technical findings effectively to stakeholders.
- Routine & predictive maintenance – Apply ultrasonic testing, vibration analysis, and other predictive methods.
- Work flexible hours & travel occasionally – Occasional travel to Santry (mileage covered) and 3-4 Saturdays per year for preventative maintenance.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Electrical Trade Qualification – Level 6 QQI / Apprenticeship Certification or equivalent.
- Advanced Testing Skills – Expertise in thermal imaging, ultrasonic testing, and vibration analysis.
- Fault-Finding & Electrical Maintenance – Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- PC Literacy & CMMS (SAP) Knowledge – Comfortable using maintenance tracking software.
- Health & Safety Compliance – Experience working in regulated environments.
- Manual Handling Certification – Physically fit for on-site maintenance work.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in Corporate Facilities – Comfortable working in a professional office environment.
- Multi-Disciplinary Experience – Knowledge of mechanical systems & HVAC is beneficial.
- Procurement & Inventory Management – Ability to assist with ordering and stock control.
