Job Summary
Hall Recruitment is seeking an experienced EHS Operations Manager to lead Environmental, Health and Safety activities within a large, technically complex facilities management operation supporting the life sciences sector.
Based in Dublin 15, you will take responsibility for maintaining and improving EHS standards across a highly regulated working environment. The role involves leading an established EHS team, supporting operational management, overseeing contractor safety and ensuring that activities comply with Irish health and safety legislation and relevant environmental requirements.
This position requires more than technical knowledge of safety legislation and procedures. You will need to understand how operational teams work, recognise where risks arise and provide practical guidance that helps prevent incidents while maintaining safe and efficient operations.
Working with senior management, engineering, quality and operational teams, you will contribute to EHS strategy, incident prevention, audit readiness and continuous improvement.
The successful candidate will be someone who can combine strong technical EHS knowledge with visible leadership, sound judgement and the confidence to influence decisions at operational and senior management level.
Key Responsibilities
EHS Leadership & Team Management
You will lead the EHS function and provide guidance to managers and operational teams, ensuring safety responsibilities are understood and consistently applied.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead, support and develop two EHS team members.
- Establish clear objectives and performance expectations.
- Provide practical EHS advice to operational management.
- Promote a proactive approach to identifying and managing workplace risks.
- Support managers in meeting their health and safety responsibilities.

Requirements
Professional Experience
We are interested in experienced EHS professionals who can demonstrate the ability to manage health, safety and environmental performance within a complex operational environment.
The original requirements seek approximately seven years’ EHS experience, including leadership or management responsibilities. However, the overall relevance and strength of your experience will also be considered.

Qualifications
A degree or equivalent qualification in one of the following disciplines is sought:
