Job Overview
Are you currently working in education and looking for a part-time position that fits around your existing commitments?
We are recruiting an Education Study Coordinator to support the evening operation of a satellite education centre in South Dublin. This role would suit someone with previous experience working in an Irish secondary school, grinds school, further education college, or similar educational environment who enjoys working with students, teachers and academic staff.
Working one evening each week during the academic year, you’ll ensure classes are set up correctly, students and teachers are welcomed, attendance records are maintained and teaching sessions run smoothly from start to finish.
As this is a permanent position that operates every academic year, we are looking for someone seeking a long-term commitment rather than temporary employment.
Responsibilities
Summary
You will be responsible for:
- Preparing classrooms before lessons begin
- Welcoming students and teachers
- Supporting the smooth running of evening classes
- Updating attendance records
- Ensuring teaching sessions are recorded
- Packing away equipment after classes
- Collecting teaching materials from Dublin City Centre
Supporting Evening Classes
Before classes begin, you’ll prepare each classroom by setting up printed learning materials, laptops, webcams, microphones and other teaching equipment so everything is ready before students arrive.
Throughout the evening, you’ll act as the on-site coordinator, supporting teachers and students while resolving any issues that arise to ensure classes continue without disruption.
Student & Teacher Support
You’ll greet students and teachers on arrival, provide practical support where needed and help create a welcoming and organised learning environment.
Strong communication skills and confidence working with young people are essential, making this an ideal opportunity for someone who has previously worked in a school or educational setting.
Administration
You’ll maintain accurate online attendance records and ensure all classes are recorded correctly.
Attention to detail and confidence using basic computer systems are important, as accurate attendance records form part of the school’s administrative processes.
Equipment & Teaching Materials
At the end of each evening, you’ll dismantle classroom equipment, ensure it is stored securely and prepare the centre for the following week.
You’ll also collect printed learning materials from the organisation’s Dublin City Centre office approximately once or twice each month. This additional responsibility is already included within your paid weekly hours.
