Job & Company Overview

Are you a confident French speaker with strong communication skills and an interest in customer service and administration?

We are recruiting a Temporary Customer Support Coordinator – French Speaking to join an established international business based in Dublin 17 for a three-month temporary assignment.

This is a hands-on customer support and administration position where you’ll work alongside an experienced manager supporting customers within the company’s important French market. You’ll help manage the day-to-day enquiries that come into the business, primarily by email with some telephone contact, while coordinating follow-ups, service requests and related administration.

You do not need previous experience within the company’s technical industry. Full product and on-the-job training will be provided, so the client is open to candidates from customer service, administration, retail, hospitality or similar backgrounds who have the right French language skills, attitude and willingness to learn.

This is a three-month temporary contract only, and applicants must be available to commit to the full duration of the assignment.

Responsibilities

Summary

As Temporary Customer Support Coordinator, you will:

  • Respond to customer enquiries from the French market
  • Manage customer communication primarily by email and occasionally by telephone
  • Log and track customer requests and outstanding issues
  • Support warranty, repair and after-sales service enquiries
  • Coordinate service visits and customer follow-ups
  • Assist with spare-parts orders and associated administration
  • Maintain accurate information using internal business systems
  • Liaise with colleagues across different departments to resolve customer queries
  • Build positive working relationships with customers
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the French customer service operation

French Customer Support

French language skills are central to this position.

You’ll communicate directly with customers in France, helping them with general questions, service enquiries and after-sales support. Much of this communication will take place by email, although you’ll also need to be comfortable speaking with customers over the telephone when required.

You’ll need to communicate clearly and professionally while ensuring customers receive accurate information and their enquiries are directed to the appropriate person or department.

You will work alongside an experienced manager who will provide guidance and training throughout the assignment.

After-Sales & Service Administration

An important part of the role will be keeping customer requests organised and ensuring queries are properly followed through.

You’ll log and track customer enquiries using the company’s internal systems, coordinate service visits, follow up on outstanding matters and assist with warranty and repair-related administration.

You may also help process spare-parts orders and liaise with other departments to make sure information and products reach customers when required.

Attention to detail will therefore be important, particularly when recording information, monitoring outstanding requests and communicating updates to customers.

Administration & Internal Coordination

This position combines customer service with practical administration.

You’ll need to be comfortable working with email, Microsoft Office and basic business systems while keeping accurate records of customer interactions and requests.

You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the business. Some customer queries may require information or assistance from another department, so you’ll help coordinate communication internally and ensure the customer receives an appropriate response.

The client is looking for someone organised and dependable who can take ownership of routine enquiries while knowing when an issue should be passed to a more experienced colleague.

Training & Support

Previous experience within refrigeration, engineering or another technical industry is not required.

You’ll receive an induction and on-the-job training to help you understand the company’s products, customers and internal processes.

The manager you’ll be supporting will work closely with you, particularly during the early stages of the assignment, so the client is particularly interested in candidates who are willing to learn, comfortable asking questions and able to pick up new information.

Language & Communication Skills

French is the key requirement for this position.

You’ll regularly communicate with customers in the French market, so you must be comfortable reading, writing and communicating in French within a professional customer service environment.

You’ll also need good written and spoken English as you’ll be working closely with colleagues in the Dublin office.

Additional language skills, particularly German, Italian, Spanish or Polish, would be beneficial but are not essential.

Experience

Previous experience in customer service or administration would be beneficial, but the client is open to candidates at an earlier stage of their career.

Relevant backgrounds could include:

  • Customer service
  • Administration
  • Retail
  • Hospitality
  • Call centre or telephone support
  • Technical support
  • Service administration
  • Spare-parts administration

Candidates with further education qualifications, certificates, diplomas or apprenticeships are also encouraged to apply.

Previous office experience is not essential, provided you are comfortable using computers and email and can demonstrate strong communication, organisation and customer service skills.

Attitude & Teamwork

The client is looking for someone personable, reliable and willing to learn.

You’ll be joining an established team and working closely with the manager responsible for supporting the French market. You should therefore be comfortable taking direction, learning about unfamiliar products and gradually taking responsibility for day-to-day customer enquiries.
