Outline:
We are recruiting for a Management Accountant, to become part of the finance and forecasting team of this national FMCG retail organisation, based in the west of Ireland. In your role as Management Accountant you will report to the Finance Manager for the UK & Ireland, as they undertake a new chapter in the company’s growth.
The successful candidate will be a highly organized individual familiar with margin reporting and variance analysis who can support AP processing and prepare monthly management performance reports, and comfortably present them to the accounting team and Finance Manager.
What you will be doing:
- As a management accountant you will prepare monthly management performance reports including variance analysis.
- Manage inventory cost accounting process in terms of accurate valuations, cycle count results, and systems issues.
- Support margin reporting and variance analysis as well as review of standard costs.
- Assist with monthly financial accounting close.
- Participate in annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Support annual external audit process.
- Support AP processing.
- Assisting the finance manager and accounting team as required.
- Other broader financial duties as required.
You will need:
- 3rd level accounting qualification.
- Minimum 2 years previous experience working in a similar role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel).
- Inquisitive nature.
- Strong attention to detail.
- To show an ability to problem solve.
- To be a self-starter
- To be capable of multitasking
- To be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- To demonstrate an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
