💰 Salary: €43,800 Base + Shift Allowance & Overtime – OTE up to €55,000

As a Car Breakdown Mechanic, you’ll attend on-location vehicle issues, diagnosing and repairing minor mechanical faults such as battery replacements, tyre changes, and quick fixes. This is not about heavy-duty repairs—it’s about problem-solving on the go, keeping drivers calm, and getting them safely back on the road. Key Responsibilities

🔧 Attend vehicle breakdowns, providing quick and effective repairs.
🔧 Diagnose and resolve common issues such as battery failures and flat tyres.
🔧 Reassure and assist motorists, explaining problems in a clear and supportive way.
🔧 Receive and complete jobs one at a time, logging in each morning.
🔧 Coordinate with the support team, ensuring fast response times for drivers.
🔧 Maintain high service and safety standards with every repair.
🔧 Look after company equipment and van, ensuring all tools are in top condition.


Requirements

Essential Requirements

Full B Driving Licence (BE Licence is an advantage, with reimbursement available).
QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Motor Mechanics (or equivalent).
Strong mechanical knowledge – confident diagnosing and fixing common vehicle faults.
Excellent communication skills – ability to reassure and assist drivers in stressful situations.
Customer-focused approach – friendly, professional, and able to build trust quickly.
Ability to work independently, managing jobs without supervision.

Desirable Skills

➕ Experience as a mobile mechanic or in vehicle recovery.
➕ Experience with battery replacements, tyre fitting, and light mechanical work.
Strong problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to quick repairs.
