Job Overview

The Electrical Maintenance Manager will oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of electrical and control systems at client sites in Dublin, Ireland. This role encompasses Preventative, Corrective, and Predictive Maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with service level agreements (SLAs), GxP standards, and safety protocols. The successful candidate will lead maintenance efforts, manage technical issues, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in facilities management or electrical maintenance, with expertise in troubleshooting, compliance, and vendor management. A proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities are key for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preventative and Corrective Maintenance: Oversee and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal operation of electrical systems and equipment, including PAT testing, lighting checks, and continuity testing.
  • Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to system breakdowns, ensuring minimal downtime and quick resolution.
  • Electrical System Operations: Manage and monitor electrical and control systems, including responding to BMS alarms and ensuring system reliability.
  • Project Management: Plan and lead minor electrical and control projects, from procurement to commissioning, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Team and Vendor Coordination: Supervise vendors and contractors, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records of work activities using CMMS systems, ensuring compliance with GxP and safety regulations.
  • Site Maintenance Support: Assist in general maintenance tasks during reduced electrical workloads, such as carpentry, plumbing, and minor civil repairs.
  • Health and Safety Leadership: Uphold safe work practices by ensuring proper permits, risk assessments, and compliance with safety protocols.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a technical or facilities management role.
  • Proficiency with CMMS and BMS systems.
  • Full Clean Driving Licence.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.

Desirable Requirements

  • MEWP or Forklift Certification.
  • Experience in HVAC systems or PLC controls.
  • Formal qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
