Outline:
As the electrical maintenance technician, you will be working at various sites with our client performing general electrical and maintenance work. The ideal candidate should be a fully qualified electrician with at least 5 years of experience in facilities and services critical environments.
Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
- Provide Best in Class customer service.
- Ensure service delivery meets or exceeds SLA requirements.
Health and Safety:
- Adhere to and lead company health and safety policies & guidelines.
- Implement existing business operation procedures.
Work Environment and Systems:
- Take complete ownership of the working environment & systems.
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the building.
Maintenance and Repair:
- Safely and efficiently install, maintain, and repair plant and equipment.
- Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and commissioning.
- Carry out electrical diagnostic and fault finding to plant and equipment.
- Undertake corrective maintenance as required.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep appropriate records for services carried out.
- Report all malfunctions to the Facilities team and ensure solutions are implemented.
Coordination and Supervision:
- Supervise and assist sub-contractors.
- Manage the permit-to-work system on-site.
- Liaise with Facilities and IT departments on project works.
- Manage all spare parts for the responsible area.
Energy Management and Green Agenda:
- Take full ownership of energy management and the green agenda on-site.
Flexibility and Adaptability:
- Work flexible duties and hours depending on requirements.
Requirements:
Skills:
- Fully Qualified Electrician: Possessing complete qualifications and certifications as an electrician.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrating knowledge and expertise in electrical systems, maintenance, and repair.
- Health and Safety: Adhering to and leading health and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a client-focused approach.
- Problem-solving: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with team members, sub-contractors, and other departments.
- Organization: Methodical and analytical approach to work, maintaining records and managing spare parts.
- Flexibility: Being adaptable and willing to work in a pressurized environment with changing duties and hours.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Computer Skills: Competency in using MS Office and other relevant software applications.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience: Experience working as an electrician in facilities and services critical environments.
- Facilities Management: Previous work experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Experience in performing routine maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on electrical systems and equipment.
- Project Coordination: Experience in coordinating and working with other departments on project works.
Qualifications:
- Fully Qualified Electrician: Completion of relevant electrical trade qualifications and certifications.
- HV/MV Electrical Switching Experience (Advantageous): Experience in high voltage or medium voltage electrical switching.
- PAT Certification: Certification for Portable Appliance Testing.
- Emergency Lighting Qualifications: Qualifications related to emergency lighting systems.
- Proven experience and competence in conducting periodic inspection reports.
- Competence in utilizing thermal imaging for predictive maintenance.
- Knowledge and experience with static switchgear, UPS, generators, motorized switchgear, CRAC systems, electrical works, fire protection and detection systems, HVAC systems, and Dali lighting systems.
