Outline:

Our client is recruiting for a Commercial Solicitor who will be a part of their commercial and business services team. The team supports business clients with their day-to-day corporate and regulatory queries and activities, providing legal advice in different areas including mergers and acquisitions, company law, intellectual property, among others.
As a commercial solicitor you will be responsible for reading and amending contracts, reviewing business mergers and representing clients in court.
The successful candidate will have 6 years PQE and including experience in contracts, mergers and legal disputes.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing legal advice and assistance to clients on a variety of matters, including commercial contracts, agency and distribution, terms & conditions, intellectual property, e-commerce, IT, franchising, and data protection.
  • Reading and amending contracts, reviewing business mergers, and representing clients in court.
  • Drafting and negotiating non-disclosure agreements, investment agreements, and other corporate documents.
  • Keeping up to date with changes and developments in the law, compliance procedures, and policies.
  • Conducting risk assessments on all files and notifying compliance of any risks to the firm.
  • Assisting with training and business development.
  • Meeting financial targets and promoting the core values of the firm.
  • Providing support as required to others in the business.
  • Always acting in the best interest of the firm.

Requirements:

  • A law degree from an accredited institution and qualified to practice law in Ireland.
  • At least 6 years of post-qualification experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify legal issues and provide effective solutions.
  • A strong understanding of commercial law and business practices.
  • Good business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Professional approach to work, integrity, and respect for confidentiality
  • Numeracy and IT skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a dynamic and proactive approach to tasks and projects.
  • A friendly and approachable manner to foster positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
