Over the last number of years increasing numbers of recruitment agencies have decided to specialise in a particular field or a market segment. This movement is often something they fall into as a consequence of their top billers excelling in a particular market segment. As one of the country’s preeminent generalist recruitment agencies since 2003 we opted against following that trend. Upon a forensic business analysis of our successes we determined that, in our case, there was simply no business prerogative for going along with other recruitment agencies towards ever narrowing horizons. It was apparent to us that our success in areas as diverse as accounting to supply chain and facilities to H.R and Training, meant that our recruitment proposition was, and should remain, unapologetically generalist. So there was no question as to whether we should rule ourselves out of the segment only to go with the flow of other recruitment agencies. The reality remains, and we’re glad of it, that many of the top firms require a one stop shop they know they can rely upon to recruit across a variety of disciplines.
While we accept that there remain other generalist recruitment agencies, it’s perhaps not unreasonable to wonder as to how we’ve managed to remain the preferred recruiter for so many blue chip firms and for such a diverse variety of roles. The same thing that makes so many of our other clients comfortable about leaving their job requirements with us. The same thing that makes so many of our candidates confident in sending us their CV.
